The University of Al Azhar Indonesia (UAI) that was born from a mosque environment, has made the new step of finding relevancy between the truth of Divine revelation with the theoretical proven of modern sciences as an academic priority. Regarding that priority, the University has established the Center for the Integration of Islamic Thought and the University Curriculum (PII MKU). One of the missions of this Center is to build up a scientific mindset and paradigm which is based on Islamic Epistemology. To realize this mission, PII MKU has organized a series of seminars, symposiums and scientific meetings on the perspective of Islamic Epistemology along with modern sciences. The International Conference of Islamic Epistemology called ICIE is one of the programs from this Center. One year before, we called this International Symposium, according to some advice we change this to the International Conference. This international Conference aims to strengthen the commitment among Muslim scholars in finding the intersection of the message of revelation in the Holy Qur’an with scientific findings of modern science. Through this conference, we invite the Muslim scholars to participate in the field of economy in particular, especially in financial technology, as well as in various disciplines to share their experiences to build up theory and body of knowledge in their respective fields integrated and aligned with Islamic epistemology.
